Established in 1982, The Lions '82 Soccer Club fields teams from U8 through U18; with several teams ranked at high levels in their divisions. It is a competitive program, with Professionally Licensed Coaches, that helps young athletes develop their soccer skills to a high level while at the same time recognizing the importance of players developing into well-rounded individuals within their community. The Lions program has reasonable annual fees to allow more players the opportunity to participate in this great sport. Our Boys teams play in the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL) and our Girls teams play in the Illinois Women's Soccer League (IWSL). We invite you to browse our website and contact us with any questions. When parents and players consider club soccer, they look at the value and assurance they will receive. Here at Lions '82 S.C., we have a commitment to our players and families to provide Professionally Licensed Coaches who will not only develop highly skilled soccer players, but also strive to promote Confidence, Composure, Commitment, Community and Teamwork. Our typical season(s) are Fall (August - November), Winter (November\December - March) and Spring (March\April - June). Each of our teams from U8 - U11 train (2) two times a week, usually 1.5 hours each day. Our U12 - U18 teams will train (2-3) times a weeks and usually run 1.5 - 2 hours each session. Besides the players gaining excellent advancement in soccer, we also are providing a healthy fitness environment for our youth as well. Our coaches promote conditioning and talk with the players about healthy eating and staying in shape during the season and off season. Most of the matches the players play are in within (1) one hour to (1.5) one and a half hours maximum driving time. Each team has (2) two paid club approved tournaments each season. These tournaments are usually in the Chicagoland Area. Teams can choose additional tournaments (which would need club approval), but would be a team paid tournament. Several of our teams usually do about 3 tournaments per season and occasionally they are out of state. In short, we would like to help your son or daughter become the best, all around person that they can be while teaching them the great game of soccer, and developing their soccer skills to a high level in a team environment
