The Wilmette Waves were co-founded in 2000 by GM Don Wallace and Head Coach Mike Napoleon and have recorded 15 consecutive over-.500 seasons. Eighty Waves' alumni have gone on to play college baseball, 6 have played professionally. For its first 11 seasons the Waves played as an 18U American Legion team, winning the IL Legion Championship in 2004. Since 2011 the team has been affiliated with Connie Mack Baseball, won the IL Connie Mack Championship in 2013 and the Suburban Chicago CM League Championship in both 2013 and 2014. Since 2008 all Waves' players have been students at New Trier High School (Winnetka,IL). Mike Napoleon is a teacher and also Head Baseball Coach at NTHS. Don Wallace is a Managing Director of investment firm Robert W. Baird and also serves as President of the 8-team Suburban Chicago Connie Mack League. Coach Napoleon finished 2014 with 403 career victories as the Waves' head coach.
